O Christmas Tree O Christmas Tree

It's just not Christmas without a tree and a few decorations. However, since our budget and apartment are both small and we are about to leave and move back to Idaho anyway, we decided to keep it small. Here are a few pictures of what we did to make it a bit more festive.

Here is our table with a candle on it

our stockings and door hanger

the paper chain hanging above our balcony door

and our tree strung with popcorn and cranberries

and the bow hung on our front door :)

Pictures below

To All,

The pictures below are of the work site where I am currently. Behind one of the pictures you can see the work trailers. This is a 400,000 sq ft photovoltaic cell manufacturing plant (Solar Panels). The top of the building is going to be completely covered from end to end with Solar Panels which will supply a great deal of power for the plant. They take silicon in its raw rock form, melt it down into blocks and slice it in thing layers, mix it with chemicals that I won't bother to mention and through a series of processes create a photovoltaic solar cell. These are then placed into a solar panel or various other forms to be used to harness the sun's energy.

Wonderful day of Shopping!!

So since today was a holiday Eldon didn't have to go into work so we spent the day shopping for stuff for our new home. We went to Bed Bath and Beyond, Target and then back to Bed Bath and Beyond for a second time. We got a full set of dishes that serve 8 along with all of our real nice silverware. We finished off our set of glasses so we have enough for 8 now. We got a cheese grater, two more bath towels, two wash clothes, and two hand towels that all match our nice blue and brown theme we got going on in there. We bought two more of our knives from our super nice knife set, and two more airtight containers for powder sugar and rice, and a butter dish. We got a vacuum, a laundry hamper a toilet bowl brush and a bathroom scale. Then from Target we bought a blender, a deep fryer, two movies (Marley and Me and The Proposal) and some snacks. We got $607.56 worth of stuff.......but it's ok, just wait for it............but with all our gift cards we got from our wedding, we really only spent, out of our own pocket, $5. Total. This was the best day of shopping ever. Oh and yesterday I bought a new hair dryer-but used a gift card so I didn't really buy it. Best shopping spree EVER!..........except, a whole day of shopping really wears me out, I'm not a real girl when it comes to shopping-it's not really my thing.

Just for Mom

Well, a request has been made by mom that we start a blog, why when we have facebook, I don't know. But then again, I have always been one to do what I'm told. So, just for you Mom, here is our blog. Now you can check up on Eldon and me anytime you want and we will do our best to keep it up to date. I suppose this will be handy, now when we go do something fun, we just have to write it here and everyone can read about it. We won't have to recount the story 10 times. And we will try to get every detail in it because we all know how Mom likes to hear about our adventures, can't leave ANYTHING out or you get an endless list of questions :) You know we love you Mom.
